Web Interface Design

Our portfolio page is a good example of how a simple yet effective interface can be created using layers, style sheets, scripts and gif animations. Instead of having a frameset or reloading the navigation bar each time a new page is called by the user, there is only one page. When the user clicks on a link, hidden layers can become visible according to the movement of the user's mouse. Layers can have text, images or web animations on them.

Web animation

A web animation adds life to a static web page. They are big in impact - small in size. However, too many animations (particularly those tacky flashy banners) do annoy viewers. So they are best usede them sparingly, carefully and effectively. We tend to use simple animated gifs as they are very small and download fast. Although we also like funky Flash animations, they do require plug-ins and many people just can't be bothered to download or upgrade them. So we generally don't recommend using them - nor do our clients!
